1. Knowing What You Want
All too often we have a vague Idea about what we want. You might want huge success but what does that mean? Because to you, it might mean one thing, to someone else a completely different picture.
Knowing what you want begins with being clear about who you are and what you are about – your values, strengths, and passions. From there you can begin to create a vision of the life you want to live, the type of business you want to grow, and the skills you will need in daily life.
Once you have identified your values, strengths, and passions, write a script 3 years from now for what you want your life to look like; include areas like health, career, finances, relationships, personal growth and of course fun.
2. Create Visual Images
“A picture is worth a thousand words” is the idea that conveys that an image can be more effective than just using words.
So now you have created a written picture of your future goals, you can now create images to support them.
Create a vision board. A Vision board can certainly help you achieve your goals faster by you focusing on the images that are impressed upon your subconscious which are then brought forth into reality.
Using the reticular activating system in your brain works to bring opportunities and resources that you need to achieve your goals. So, use a vision board to your advantage so you can manifest your goals faster.
3. Kill Your Limiting Beliefs
Most of the time we are standing in our own way, and a cause of this can be our limiting beliefs. They stifle us from moving forward with the idea that we are not good enough or that we are going to fail.
To overcome this you can follow this technique:
- Write down a goal and note what negative thoughts come to mind (they are most likely not true)
- Now write a positive statement for WHY you will accomplish your goals (Your why must be bigger than your fears and limiting beliefs) for example: “my goal is to help and inspire people all over the world to find purpose” or “my mission is to limit poverty in third world countries”
- Anytime you experience a limiting belief, kill it with your positive statement.
4. Be a Grateful Person
Gratitude can change your life. I say this because you can go from being the most unhappy, selfish person; to the most humble and positive, by gratitude alone. Gratitude will keep you from thinking about the things you don’t have (yet) to thinking about what you have already and how you can use what you have to move forward with your goals.
Gratitude relieves stress and anxiety leaving you with a feeling of satisfaction, when you get into the habit it can propel you to your goals much quicker because you are not anxious about your situation.
5. Taking The Right Action
Action will always manifest change. But it’s about taking the right action that will get you the results you want. Start where you are and take one step at a time by putting plans in place so you can take consistent action.
There is always a next step even if you’re not sure that you are on the right path, don’t give up. Seek mentors, coaches, and friends that can help.
Take the training, read the books and keep moving forward. In the end, it will be worth it.
